Laken Wood

Laken WoodLaken started dancing at the age of three in her hometown of Lancaster, PA,. By age nine she had started competing and traveling with her studios company, being awarded multiple scholarships along the way. She participated as a principal dancer in Hempfield High Schools Dance Theater program under the direction of Pat Kautter and went on to do some local theater including Sweet Charity at Ephrata Performing Arts Center. Soon after, Laken moved to New York City and landed multiple gigs involving traveling with L'Oreal Professional as a dancer/model in their runway shows.

While in NYC, she studied under the late Frank Hatchett, Ginger Cox, hip hop phenomenon Chio, and many more. After moving back home, she was graced with the opportunity to teach for Studio 91' for two years with Miss Janice until being offered a performing position at Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL, where she has been performing now for 10 years. Some credits include Mickey's Boo to You Parade (2008-2011) Mickey's Once Upon A Christmastime Parade (2008-2010) Opening cast of Move It! Shake It!! Celebrate It!!! (2009) Opening cast of Celebrate A Dream Come True Parade (2009) Festival of the Lion King (2011-present), and the Festival of Fantasy Parade (2014-present).

While in Orlando, she has gotten to participate and perform with many different companies outside of Disney including Metropolis Productions where she got to perform for the Give Kids the World Gala from 2010-2015 and other local charity events. Currently residing in Davenport, FL, she remains with Disney and has recently started teaching again at a local award winning studio.
